How to set up a Business account with PayPal

There are two types of PayPal accounts: Personal and Business.

Personal account: it won’t allow credit card payment to your customers, they can only pay with their own balance in their PayPal account.

Business account: it allows customers to pay with credit card and  multiuser access.

How to sign up for a PayPal account

Go to the PayPal website and click ”Sign Up”at the top of the page. Select the type of account you would like to open, in this case “Business” and click on ”Continue”. 

Enter your email address, create a password, and click on ”Continue”.

Enter the required information and click on ”Agree and Create Account”.

Choose the type of business and the category and subcategories.

Enter the info PayPal asks you for, now they will ask you for the business owner info.

Enter the Beneficial Owner information.

Then  PayPal will ask you more information about your business, When you have answered all the question, click ”Continue”. 

In a few minutes, check your email for a message from PayPal, click the link in the email to verify you email. Enter your password, then click ”Confirm”.

How to confirm your banking account

To confirm your bank account, first request the confirmation code:

1. Go to My profile.
2. Inside the section ”Bank accounts”, click on ”Change”.
3. Click on ”Confirm”.
4. Follow the instructions.

Two small deposits of between 0.01 and 0.99 EUR will be sent to your bank account, which you can see in your account statement in 2-3 business days. The amounts of these deposits will make up the confirmation code of your account.

When you know the amounts of these deposits:

1. Go to My profile.
2. Inside the section ”Bank accounts”, click on ”Change”. 
3. Click on ”Confirm bank account”.
4. Type both amounts and click on”Confirm”.
